Jaipur Visit: Pink Your Imaginations

It was a clear, beautiful March morning. I was in Rajasthan, India's most vibrant desert. The charming Pink City of Jaipur served as the ideal starting point for my exploration of Rajasthan's many diverse attractions. Jaipur truly has an incredible variety of activities to suit every taste. My trip was made memorable by the gorgeous latticed windows of the Hawa Mahal, the stunning blue ceramic items at Johri Bazaar, the city vista from Birla Mandir, and the impeccable City Palace. It felt like travelling back in time while exploring the magnificent Rajput palaces.

But that wasn't all. The Amber Fort's elephant ride was the most stunning. It was a regal encounter. Under the sun's intensely yellow rays, the structure glistened like a gem. I had the good fortune to take part in the city's March Elephant Festival. I was utterly mesmerized by the royal parade of elephants dressed in the finest attire.

It was a pleasure to spend my time in Jaipur shopping. The vibrant and bustling bazaar of Jaipur had everything I could have ever wanted to buy on display. I was drawn to the exquisite jewellery and stones at the Johri Bazaar. My choice was a lovely silver anklet and a few pieces of renowned enamel jewellery. I hurried over to Chhoti Chaupar and grabbed a pair of gorgeously embroidered jootis. If you enjoy shopping, Bapu Bazaar is the perfect place for you to go crazy. The mouthwatering spicy chaat was the ideal snack to round off my shopping binge. Ah! The last items I added to my shopping bag were a little painting for my house that I picked up on the MI road and a vibrant bandhini sari for mom.

After all the shopping and sightseeing, I was eager to gorge on some delicious Rajasthani cuisine. I went to the renowned Choki Dhani for incredible food and entertainment. I went with the customary Dal Batti Choorma with filled Kachouris. The dish looked tempting and tasted as good as it smelled. I asked the locals for recommendations for the city's top sweet shop and ended up at Laxmi Misthan Bhandar since I was hankering for sweets. My sweet craving was satisfied by its Mawa Kachouri dunked in sweet syrup.

Without visiting the Palace on Wheels, which serves as a royal retreat, my trip to Jaipur would not have been complete. My vacation experience was more exquisite than I could have imagined because to the opulently decorated surroundings, the inventive dining options, and the red carpet treatment.

The fond memories of my tour to Jaipur in Rajasthan will linger on and on...

The Sufi Capital Wrapped In The Barren Hills Of The Aravallis

Courtesy vacationsindiaplus.com I packed my bags to the Ajmer city, nestled in the base of Aravali mountain ranges. The historic city was established by the great king of the Chauhan dynasty, Ajaipal Chauhan in the 7 th century. On arriving Ajmer, I was surprised to see the true secular nature of India that is enlivened in the life and history of this great city. This renowned pilgrim centre showcases a perfect blend of Hindu culture with Sufi traditions . Ajmer was flanked by majestic mountains on all sides. I booked a room in Hotel Mansingh Palace. The most lively attractions of the city are the religious songs and Quawwalis, which can be heard at every street, especially at the holy Dargahs . I visited the Dargh of Ajmer Sharif at night, the most famous pilgrim center in the city, dedicated to the great Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti . Religious convocations, called 'mehfils' were organized in the mehfil khana, a voluminous hall meant for this purpose. A few
